Local MP Jesse Norman took the ice bucket challenge last week in aid of Herefordshire charity, the Music Pool.
Jesse was nominated by Belmont resident Andrew Cooper. Andrew was unable to be there but his wife Heidi and son William were on hand to do the honours.
The drenching took place at the Weston Cross Inn, just after Jesse had completed a charity walk in aid of Royal National College for the Blind and the West Midlands Air Ambulance.
Jesse's ice bucket challenge raised £169.25 which went to local charity, The Music Pool. Speaking once he had had a chance to dry off, Jesse said: "I am a patron of The Music Pool and have donated the money to their aptly named 'Splash' appeal, which is seeking to raise £50,000 to continue their great work using music as a tool to connect with some of the most vulnerable children and adults in the county."
In turn, Jesse nominated Labour MP Chuka Umunna, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.
