Jesse Norman has described himself as "delighted and honoured" by his re-election as Member of Parliament for Hereford and South Herefordshire. 

This election is about two choices:  national and local.

Bits of good and bad news can be like the proverbial London bus; nothing for ages, then suddenly three turn up at once.

We are extremely lucky to have the General Practitioners we do in Herefordshire.  A doctor’s surgery is a hallowed place in every community in the UK.  But it is especially so in a large, sparsely populated and under-funded border county such as ours.

Jesse Norman has today celebrated the news that £8 million of Government funding has been announced for Hereford’s new specialist tech and engineering university.

It is great news that the Hereford Library building on Broad Street has at last reopened its doors to the public, after a longer-than-expected process of cleaning out its old asbestos.

Together with many other MPs, Ministers and people around the country, I watched last week as Lord Neuberger summarised the Supreme Court's judgment, by a vote of 8-3, ruling that the decision to trigger the UK's withdrawal from the EU must be subject to a vote in Parliament.

As Hereford Times readers may have know, on January 9th I was made Energy Minister, as part of a ministerial mini-reshuffle which moved Baroness Neville-Rolfe to the Treasury.
